What happens in just a single day at the library?  You may be surprised!  On Thursday, October, 22, 2015, we took part in Texas Library Snapshot Day, an annual event held in October and organized by the Texas Library Association.  We had almost 1000 of you step through our doors on that day alone for a variety of activities, including:

  • - Early voting
  • - eBooks & eMedia training in the Computer Training Lab
  • - Laser Cutter training in the Jocelyn H. Lee Innovation Lab
  • - "Gamers Unite!" program for teens in The Zone
  • - Great Books Discussion group

Many more of you came to check out materials, find a bargain book in the Friends of Freeman Bookstore, casually use one of our public computers, reserve a study room for private study, or have your child enjoy early literacy activities in the Children's Area.  Whatever the case may be, we are pleased that you still find your library the place to be for all of these quality activities and services.
